Amtrak dropped a big sale just in time for Mother’s Day and summer travel

TEXARKANA, Ark. (Ark-La-Tex Weekend) - Here’s an interesting idea for a Mother’s Day gift. Why not treat her to a cross country trip on an Amtrak train? From May 11 until May 17, 2023, the passenger rail service is offering a Mother’s Day Buy One, Bring One 50% Off Flash Sale. The travel dates for the sale will be from June 1 to August 30, 2023.

This sale is for Coach class travel on most routes. You receive the discount if you use their sale webpage or use the promo code C514 in the Amtrak app.

Not only do you travel through some of the most beautiful parts of the United States, but you’ll be helping the environment. According to Amtrak, “riding the train... is 46% more energy efficient than traveling by car and 34% more energy efficient than domestic air travel.” You can stretch out in the large seats and not have to arrive at the station hours before departure.

Texarkana to Chicago - $145.50 for two people

New Orleans to Atlanta - $58.50 for two people

Longview to St. Louis - $105 for two people
