Our 1 Minute Pit Stop series aims to be a quick highlight of some neat places to visit while you are out and about in East Texas!
Old Magnolia Sandwich Shop
While filming around downtown Palestine, I passed by this restaurant with huge glass windows. As I peered inside, I saw they brewed a variety of coffee drinks. (I always love stopping for a good latte!) When I stepped inside I was amazed by just how big this place was. Lots of seating, very clean, and classic East Texas decorations throughout. After ordering my drink, I noticed there was even an entire back section filled with booths of antiques!
Not only is Old Magnolia a hometown favorite food stop in Palestine, it also serves as a community marketplace, hosting a variety of local vendors. Order one of their delicious Patty Melts then check out some unique things for sale. Each vendor’s booth is one-of-a-kind with so many fun items for purchase.
Old Magnolia’s menu is extensive, with options that’ll satisfy for lunch or dinner. Next time you are in the area, make sure to make a pit stop as this great food, shopping spot!
