It’s time to saddle-up and hit the dusty East Texas trails! RH Equestrian, located on the outskirts of Tyler, offers a variety of horseback riding lessons and trail rides for all ages and skill levels. Come meet some of their majestic and friendly horses and learn all about the barn family here.

HORSIN’ AROUND

What makes RH Equestrian such an incredible weekend destination for the whole family are their trail rides through the beautiful East Texas landscape.

These horseback adventures begin with a little meet and greet with some of the incredible horses that you’ll be riding. You can even help get your horse ready with some of the equipment and give them a nice brush. With their calm and warm demeanor, you will quickly bond with whatever horse you’ll be riding that day.

Once you’re all set, voyage out with the guide of some of the staff into the vast 24 acre pasture. Mosey your way throughout the terrain, taking in all of the natural beauty upon horseback. Admire the rolling hills, tall pines, and local wildlife. During your ride, you will even hit some of the rustic backroads surrounding the area, making you feel like a real cowboy/cowgirl.

Trail rides are welcome to all ages and skill levels. Plus, they’re Easy to Book!

LEAD A HORSE TO WATER

“We have group and private lessons... just kind of depending on what you’re wanting to get out of the experience.”

Rebecca Hanna, owner of the ranch and head trainer, provided all the details on Lessons for us. Each program focuses on mastering the fundamentals and disciplines of riding. These classes vary depending on skill levels and what riders want to get out of their time here. Beginner courses hone in on all the basics from learning the ins and outs of horsemanship to how to care for a horse. The barn crew can get you up and riding in no time!

RH Equestrian also provides more in-depth lessons for those that are wanting to increase their horse-riding abilities. These extensive courses help develop riders in the disciplines of “hunters, jumpers, equitation, dressage, and western.” Lots of these students have gone on to form the ranch’s very own Show Team!

During your lesson, you’ll get to meet some of the beloved lesson horses that call this ranch home. We loved getting to watch Chili, the 19yr old quarter horse, strut around the area in all his grace and might.

Whether your a season rider or have never been on a horse in your life, RH Equestrian invites you to one of their weekly group or private lessons!
