Deepfest

The Mayfair Grand Opening

  • When: 5:30pm to 7:30pm
  • Where: The Mayfair, Tyler

We’re celebrating the grand reopening of the historic Mayfair building on Thursday, April 4 at 5:30 p.m.! There will be complimentary themed mocktails, entertainment by The Tuxedo Cats, and food from various food trucks for purchase. The former dance hall was renovated to preserve its historical elements, including the original floors, windows, stage and green room. New structural enhancements include expanded storage and ADA-compliant facilities to cater to all needs, plus roll-up doors leading to a future spacious deck and food truck park.

Bite-Size Experience

We are having our first Friend’s Night to experience the Creative Cafe and we are so excited to invite you and to ask you to invite your faves for a fun evening out with friends! It will be a bite sized experience in that we will offer one creation project that evening (instead of the several that will be offered when we are fully open), as well as coffee, tea and a bite sized dessert — all at a reduced price as this is an insider scoop thing with all of our favorite people! There will be two different time slots you can choose to RSVP for, so make sure to select the right time!

Mosaic Garden Class

13th Annual Tyler Run for Autism

TRA is a high energy, community event for all! We were founded in 2012 in order to help local children with autism afford critical medical treatment. Our event is fully sponsored so that 100% of proceeds can go to children enrolled at the Treatment and Learning Center for Children with Autism.

Strawberry Jamboree

Beginner Fly Fishing Class

  • When: 9am
  • Where: Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center, Athens
  • Cost: $50

Master fly-fisher Bob Cappallo of Corsicana will teach fly-fishing for beginners 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 6th at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center (TFFC) in Athens. The classes are open to adults and youths accompanied with an adult. No fly-fishing experience is required. Equipment will be provided, but students may bring their own. Instruction will focus on equipment, equipment selection, basic knot tying, casting and casting fundamentals. The $50 fee for the class will include lunch. Bob is a member of Trout Unlimited and lives on Richland-Chambers Reservoir. Bob has fly-fished for trout throughout the U.S. and redfish along the Texas coast as well as tarpon in Puerto Rico. Bob also builds handmade bass and fly rods along with tying his own flies. Reservations are required, and each class is limited to 20 persons. 2nd Annual Spring Festival @ Tyler Berry Farm

SFA Gardens Garden Gala Day Spring Plant Sale

  • When: 9am-2pm
  • Where: SFA Gardens, Nacogdoches
  • Cost: Free entry

The sale will feature an array of hard-to-find, “Texas-tough” plants, including exclusive SFA introductions, Texas natives, edibles, topicals, perennials, shrubs and trees, with an emphasis on pollinator-friendly selections. A full list of available plants will be posted at the SFA Gardens website, sfasu.edu/sfagardens two weeks before the sale. And We will post a link here as well! This event raises benefits the SFA Mast Arboretum, Pineywoods Native Plant Center, Ruby M. Mize Azalea Garden, Gayla Mize Garden and Kingham Children’s Garden. Parking will be available at SFA’s Janice A. Pattillo Early Childhood Research Center, located at 2428 Raguet St. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and bring a wagon for their plants. Michael Goheen Horsemanship Clinic

  • When: 9am-4:30pm
  • Where: High Pointe Stables, Tyler
  • Cost: $500 for class. $25/Day for spectators.

Let Michael help you reach your goals and gain new skills in your horsemanship journey. This is an all day/2day clinic for $500. Class is limited to 10 riders. A non-refundable deposit of $250 will secure your spot. Spectators welcome for $25/day. Morning class will consist mainly of groundwork that transfers to the afternoon portion of riding. This includes working with a horsemanship flag, rain slicker (tarp), lariat, etc. Afternoon class is in the saddle using the groundwork skills learned in the morning. This clinic will be helpful to a green horse and/or green rider, horses that need a tuneup/refresher, helping a problem horse or just anyone who wants to advance their skills. If you would like to attend but don’t have a horse, the venue has a couple that can be rented for this clinic. All levels and disciplines welcome. Contact Sally Martin at 903-570-8625 to sign up.

Top Homestead Festival

Enoch’s Stomp Wine Run 5K

  • Where: Enoch’s Stomp Vineyard & Winery, Harleton

Like Running? Love Wine? This race is for you! Join us on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 10:30am for an exciting new event that features the scenic views of Enoch’s Stomp Vineyard and Winery. The property sports 12 acres of grape vines including the varieties, Black Spanish (a.k.a. Lenoir), Blanc DuBois, Norton (a.k.a. Cynthiana), Villard Blanc, Champanel, and Chambourcin. For those with an open mind the premium wines fashioned from these varietals provide a unique tasting opportunity for both experienced and inexperienced wine drinkers so we hope you and your family can join us for this race! Total Eclipse of the Park

Privacy Thru Plants - Planting a Live Fence Class

Join Plants of Texas for a casual talk about how to create privacy and screens in your landscape with plants. In the instance you have an unsightly neighbor, or you want to create your own privacy and an oasis in your yard with plants instead of a wooden fence, come learn about the best screening plants to choose from. This class is free of charge and will last 30 – 45 minutes or while questions last. We will show you our favorite options that provide ample screening and shade at a variety of price points and aesthetics. Screening plants is a common question we are asked and we would love to inform you on the many options.

Yoga on the Farm

We are looking for 40 phenomenal people who would love to experience trauma-informed yoga on a farm! A Visit to Green Gables
