From hobby into an overwhelming success, The Apple Gal has been tantalizing taste buds in Tyler as people line up every chance they get to try one of the many flavors!

“It was something I decided to do when my first child was about eight, nine months old. I loved staying home with him, but I had too much energy for my own good,” said Morgan Francis, owner of The Apple Gal.

And all that energy turned into The Apple Gal! Starting from her own kitchen, posting on Facebook for her friends, to starting up a business page that quickly began to grow and grow. Nowadays, customers and caramel apple lovers can enjoy stopping by the store to see which flavors are being served up each week.

“My kitchen has not been my kitchen; my home has not been my home. I do not work at home. I lived at work and the storefront was something that I wanted to do for my customers, but also for myself,” said Francis. “So, the people that have been with me and supporting me for the past three years via my front porch, when they come through, it’s sweet and it’s nice and they love that we no longer have to jump through so many hoops to get it.”

With about 26 different flavors on rotation, and new ideas always on the way, it’s easy to see why there’s something for everybody. When asked about her favorite flavor, it wasn’t quite the easiest choice. Francis told us, “I’m the annoying waiter at the restaurant when you ask what’s the best thing on the menu, and by the time they’re done talking, they’ve listed everything on the menu.”

The top sellers though are flavors such as salted caramel, cookie butter (with Biscoff cookies), and millennium (that’s like bluebell flavored ice cream), but you’ll have to stop by the shop to see which flavors are available each week and to find your own favorite among the options!

The success of The Apple Gal rests with the tenacity that Francis has brought for crafting these delectable treats and keeping up with demand, while also taking care of her young children. It’s this unwavering commitment that has brought out the best in The Apple Gal and keeps those lines coming each week.

The Apple Gal is open on Tuesdays & Thursdays starting at 11:00 AM and Saturdays starting at 10:00 AM, and while they are set to stay open until 5:00 PM, many days they are all out of apples by 3:00-4:00 PM so make sure to swing by a bit earlier.
