Oxbow Bakery in Palestine, Texas was opened over a decade ago by Becky Wolfe. Shortly after, her son David Wolfe decided to hop on board. Now, this mother-son duo work nearly 7 days a week, each and every week, to provide all of East Texas with their delicious, homemade pies.

Their pie menu is filled with 13 different pies including Cherry Cream Cheese, Banana Blueberry, Chocolate Pecan, Chocolate Meringue, Coconut Meringue, Pecan Praline Cream, and a good ol’ fashion Buttermilk. If you don’t want to buy the whole pie (trust us you do!!) they also sell pie by the slice.

Oxbow Bakery is charming to look at from the street, and hanging on the porch is a hand-painted sign reading “Oxbow General Store,” that was painted by Becky’s mother. Years ago, her mother ran Oxbow General Store in Palestine, so when Becky opened her bakery the namesake “Oxbow” carried over. You can also find other family memorabilia from the general store inside the bakery.

Another notable feature is their guestbook. If you flip through the pages you’ll find names of people from all over the country (and some outside the country as well) who have traveled the distance to buy an Oxbow pie.

Oxbow Bakery is located in Old Town Palestine at 215 E. Crawford Street. You can click here for directions.

Their current hours of operation are Thursday - Saturday, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
